You can change or remove these details at any time in Settings or by contacting us. We apply stricter access controls and shorter retention to these fields. We encourage you to use an alias inside the digital community to protect yourself online.

6. Data retention

Account and profile - kept while your account is active.

Matching data - kept while matching is enabled. If you switch it off or delete your profile, we remove or irreversibly de-identify matching fields within 30 days.

Safety records - kept as long as necessary to protect users and comply with law.

Backups - roll off on a normal rotation cycle.
We keep de-identified analytics that cannot identify you.

7. Your choices and rights
You can exercise these any time via Settings or by emailing hello @ unitely.com.au:

Correction - fix inaccurate details.

Deletion - delete your account and personal data.

Portability - request a machine-readable export.

Objection or restriction - limit certain processing, including direct marketing.

We respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you may complain to your local data authority. In Australia you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

8. How to request deletion quickly
You can:

Email hello @ unitely.com.au with “Delete my data” from your registered email, or

We will permanently delete or de-identify personal data within 30 days unless law requires us to keep specific records. Messages other people received may remain in their inbox, similar to email.

9. Safety, reporting, and verification
We operate community guidelines and safety tools. You can report concerns in-app or by emailing hello @ unitely.com.au We may temporarily retain relevant data to investigate and prevent harm. We design verification to reduce fakes and spammers while respecting privacy.
10. International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your state or country by our service providers. Where we transfer data internationally, we use safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms and supplier audits.
11. Children
Our service is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
